Pos4all Deploys Bixolon Printers in 80 Self-Service Kiosks

Serbia-based Pos4all has installed Bixolon SRP-Q300K receipt printers in 80 self-service kiosks across Serbia over two years, according to an announcement from Bixolon Europe reported by Kiosk Marketplace. The deployment supports kiosks designed for retail and hospitality businesses. Pos4all selected the compact printer to fit within the kiosks' limited interior space while still allowing access for maintenance and paper changes. Supplied through distributor KimTec Group, the printers accommodate freestanding, countertop and wall-mounted kiosk designs and offer several connectivity options. Pos4all chief executive Stevan Jevtovic said the printer helped the company balance kiosk size and appearance with dependable operation. Paul Kim, managing director of Bixolon Europe, said the printers had operated consistently in busy locations during the two-year deployment, with no printer-related customer complaints reported. The detail worth noting for operators is the maintenance access requirement. Printer jams and paper changes are among the most common causes of self-service downtime, and specifying hardware that can be serviced without dismantling an enclosure is a practical way to protect uptime across a fleet.
