Editorial Policy

Our Commitment to Factual, Unbiased Reporting

Vending News is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of journalistic integrity in covering the vending, micro market, and unattended retail industry.

1. Mission & Independence

Vending News is owned and operated by National Vending Partners, an unbiased provider of services to the vending industry. Our editorial decisions are made independently of any commercial relationship, advertiser agreement, or organizational affiliation. We do not allow advertisers, sponsors, or partners to influence which stories we cover, how we cover them, or whether we publish them at all.

Our mission is to deliver accurate, timely, and relevant news that helps industry professionals make informed decisions. We hold ourselves to the same standards of fairness and accuracy regardless of the companies, products, or individuals we report on.

2. Accuracy & Fact-Checking

Every article published on Vending News is grounded in verifiable facts. Before publication, our editorial team:

  • Verifies claims against primary sources, official statements, and publicly available data.
  • Attributes information to named sources whenever possible.
  • Distinguishes clearly between factual reporting, analysis, and opinion.
  • Avoids speculative language and unconfirmed rumors.
  • Provides context so readers can evaluate the significance of the news.

When we rely on secondary sources or wire reports, we credit the original publisher and link to the source material where available.

3. Sources & Attribution

We prioritize primary sources: company press releases, official announcements, regulatory filings, and direct interviews with industry leaders. When we report on information provided by a company, we identify the source so readers understand the origin and potential bias of the information.

We do not publish unverified claims from anonymous sources without independent corroboration. If a source requests anonymity, we evaluate the reason for the request and only proceed if the information is of significant public interest and cannot be obtained on the record.

4. Corrections & Updates

We acknowledge that errors can occur despite our best efforts. When an error is identified:

  • We correct the error promptly within the original article.
  • We add a visible correction note explaining what was changed and why.
  • We do not silently alter the historical record after publication.
  • Readers can report errors by contacting our editorial team through the Contact page.

When a story develops over time, we update the article with new information and clearly mark updates with timestamps so readers can track how the story has evolved.

5. Sponsored Content & Advertising

Vending News accepts advertising and sponsored content to support our operations. However, we maintain a strict firewall between editorial and commercial operations:

  • All paid placements are clearly labeled as "Advertisement," "Sponsored," or "Promoted."
  • Sponsored articles are visually distinguished from editorial content.
  • Advertisers do not review or approve editorial content before publication.
  • We do not publish sponsored content that contradicts verifiable facts.
  • Acceptance of advertising does not guarantee editorial coverage of the advertiser.

When we report on a company that is also an advertiser, we disclose that relationship within the article so readers can evaluate the coverage with full context.

6. Conflicts of Interest

Our editorial staff and contributors are required to disclose any financial interests, personal relationships, or organizational affiliations that could create a conflict of interest with the subjects they cover. When a conflict is identified, the individual recuses themselves from covering that topic.

National Vending Partners provides services to companies across the vending industry. We are committed to covering all companies fairly, including those that are and are not clients or partners of National Vending Partners.

7. Use of AI in Content Production

Vending News may use AI-assisted tools to help draft articles, generate summaries, or compile newsletter selections. All AI-assisted content is reviewed and edited by a human editor before publication. AI-generated content is clearly labeled as such. We do not publish AI-generated content without human oversight and verification.
